Yes, it is...but today they are going 'to the zoo' instead of 'being the zoo'...LOL. So, with backpack and cooler packed, camera charged and card inserted, Grandma Calhoun in the driver's seat, and Amanda and two little boys in tow, they are off to Toledo. News about their day and pictures later!
Well, it's later and here are some pics! The traditional one taken at the entrance: here are Denver, Ruth (Grandma Calhoun) and Devin.
Next, 'turtle races'. Denver is looking a little competitive...big brother Devin....not concerned.
Then there is a walk with a 'graceful giant' (actually, this was taken from the African train ride ).
And finally, the two-headed Zebra? Well, maybe not, but it sure looks like it!

Ahh, that's another hart-breaker. . .Devin is chillin' on the turtle cause he's an old pro. Any pictures in front of the penguin?
'fraid not. I talked to Amanda last night and she said 'it was hot, the adults were tired and they all opted for something cooler (temperature wise) to do....ride the train'. When I reviewed the pictures with Devin and Denver, they were all excited, just like they were reliving the day. It was heartwarming to see their faces!
I couldn't pull anything over on Devin though! When I mentioned that the turtles might have gone faster if they had'nt put their hands over the eyes, he said 'they aren't real Aunt Marlys' (and giggled). Can't fool that boy!
